I. General Guidelines (Modified

- All
papers and presentations should be in English.
- The following
deadlines apply:

postmarked by March 15, 2006 will be considered)
- Acknowledgement
of receipt of proposal will be by e-mail.
- The
Program Committee will notify applicants regarding acceptance based on
proposals by April 30, 2006.
Letters of acceptance will be distributed to all participants by e-mail.
Final acceptance is based on provision of acceptable abstract and
submission according to other deadlines.
Accepted panels and presenters will be listed in the Conference
Program upon completion of registration.
- Abstracts
will be used to place panelists should less than a full panel be proposed.
II.
Panels
- Panel
proposals must be submitted electronically, by fax, or by street mail in the
format that follows this section.
- Various
scholarly panel forms will be accommodated. Panels will normally consist of
two or three papers, one or two discussants/commentators, and one
chair/moderator.
- The
Committee will also entertain proposals for roundtables consisting of up to
four participants and a chair.
- Panel
participants should submit papers to their colleagues well enough in advance
to allow discussants adequate time to prepare evaluations.
- Paper
presenters will normally be allowed twenty minutes during the panel to
summarize their work. It will be the responsibility of the chair to see that
this schedule is followed.
- The
Program Committee encourages full panel proposals. However, proposals for
individual papers are also welcome (see section III. Papers).
- It
is the responsibility of individuals proposing panels to obtain the consent
of all panel participants.
- Program
Committee review will focus on the relevance of the proposed topic to
conference objectives, the apparent qualifications of proposed participants,
and the potential of the proposal to stimulate interest across broad segment
of the community.

III.
Papers
- Paper
proposals must be submitted electronically or by street mail in the format that

will normally be grouped into panels organized at the discretion of the Program
Committee.
- The
Program Committee will review paper proposals for conformity with submission
guidelines, relevance to conference themes and objectives, methodological
adequacy, and potential of the proposed study to stimulate interest across broad
segments of the community.
