Michael Brooks, Instructor, History and Center for Online and Blended Learning (COBL) (Ph.D., University of Toledo, expected 2009). Michael Brooks has research interests in the roles of epidemiological history as well as the histories of the colonial Atlantic
and European expansion. An avid technophile, Brooks is also involved in the electronic frontiers that opened in the past decade
in online education, and he has spent much of his teaching career developing online course curricula. Prior to joining BGSU
in 2009, Brooks taught at a number of regional colleges and universities, including Wayne State University, Lourdes College,
and the University of Toledo. He has published a number of academic articles, has a book chapter in an upcoming anthology,
