A WebQuest for Spanish 102 students studying Preterit and Direct Object Pronouns

Introduction

This webquest is designed for second semester Spanish students to practice the four main skills of language (reading, writing, listening and speaking) using the various grammatical components learned in second semester Spanish while learning about culture; The Day of the Dead.

Learners

This particular webquest is designed for second semester Spanish students.

Prior to the lesson learners will need to have a basic knowledge of Spanish, specifically, the proper use of direct object pronouns, the preterit and imperfect tenses, and food and hobby vocabulary.

Curriculum Standards

Conforms to the curriculum standards of the Lower Division Spanish Program of the Department of Romance & Classical Studies at Bowling Green State University.

Process

Lesson should be done in 1 or 2 50-minute lab, depending on the students' abilities.

This particular webquest should be done individually.

Instructor and students should have prior experience using Audacity (a digital recording software), Microsoft Word, and the internet.

Conclusion

Students will be receiving practice with food/hobby vocabulary, direct object pronouns and both the preterit and imperfect tenses.
