Introduction
This webquest is designed for German as a Second Language, level 201 and higher.

Learners

Prior to the lesson learners will need to have at least a basic vocabulary knowledge, should know how and when they have to use Past and Present tense, should be able to articulate simple sentences (place an order) and understand short texts as well as write directions and a short essay by their own.

Curriculum Standards
Conforms to the curriculum standards of Bowling Green State University's German Department.

Process
Lesson should be done in a 50 minute lab.

Should be done individually.

Students should have experience using a digital recording software (such as Audacity), a word processor (such as Microsoft Word), and the internet.

Evaluation
Each task will be evaluated based on 1) the correct use of the Present and Past tense, 2) completing the tasks as directed, 3) the quality and creativity of effort.  This is defined in detail in the rubric listed on the Evaluation page.

Conclusion
At the conclusion of the assignment students will have learned some Austrian cultural items while increasing their comfort with using basic German sentences in conjunction with realistic tasks.
