Introduction This webquest is designed for university students of French at the 101 or 102 level to practice the communication skills needed for travel planning. Using the four elements of communication: reading, writing, speaking, and listening, students will plan a trip to a target-language region. |

Learners This webquest is designed for beginning learners of French. Prior to the lesson learners will need to have at least an introductory knowledge of describing events in the immediate future. |

Curriculum Standards Conforms to the curriculm standards of Bowling Green State University's Beginning French program. |

Process Lesson could be completed on students’ own time or in a 50 minute class session. Lesson is best suited for individual assessment. Students should have experience using a digital recording software (such as Audacity), a word processor (such as Microsoft Word), and the internet. |

Evaluation Each task will be evaluated based on 1) the correct use of the future tense, 2) completing the tasks as directed, 3) the quality and creativity of effort. This is defined in detail in the rubric listed on the Evaluation page. |

Conclusion At the conclusion of the assignment students will have learned some American cultural items while increasing their comfort with using the English future tense. |
