Application and Admission

We welcome students from all accredited colleges and universities.

You can participate:

• if you will have completed at least three semesters of college German or the equivalent by the time the program starts, and
• if you are in good academic standing at your home institution.

Here you can find the undergraduate application and reference forms in both Word and .pdf formats. The Word documents can be completed and returned by e-mail. The .pdf documents should be printed, completed, and returned to the address at the bottom of the form.

Please send a transcript of your college coursework with your application, three confidential letters of recommendation (forms will be sent with the application form; one letter should comment on your German skills, another on your academic background, a third should be a personal reference from an employer, supervisor, family friend, etc.), and a personal essay about your interest in German and your career plans.

We start accepting applications in early fall. Apply early! The size of the group is limited and qualified students are admitted on a first-come, first-served basis.
