Study in Salzburg (2010-2011)

The total value of the graduate year in Salzburg including BGSU tuition is $14,168 for in-state students and $21,476 for out-of-state students. However, students selected as graduate assistants receive a tuition grant plus a stipend of $4000. If you apply this stipend to the program costs and fees, you will pay a total of about $4160 for your year of study in Salzburg , all of which is refunded to you as part of your weekly food allowance (about 75 Euro) per week for the duration of the program.) Also included are housing, educational travel, and special events such as a concert series, theater, and program gatherings. (Not included are airfare to and from Salzburg as well as personal travel.)

Study on the home campus (2010-2011)

Teaching and research assistantships are available on the BGSU home campus to full-time students who have satisfactorily completed the year of study in Salzburg and, in some cases, to entering graduate students. These awards include full tuition grant scholarships (currently valued at $11,434 for in-state and $18,742 for out-of-state students) for the academic year, plus a cash stipend of ca. $8,786 for teaching or research assistants . Assistants also receive a tuition grant for the following summer session if needed. An additional cash stipend may also be available for teaching or assisting in research during the summer session.
