Austria (academic year or semester): open to students from any university —each year a BGSU German professor directs the program at the University of Salzburg. Contact austria@bgsu.edu.

China study abroad program at the Xi'an International Studies University (XISU) in China - open to all BGSU undergraduates, no prior knowledge of Chinese is necessary but intensive language study is a part of the program. Application deadline for AY 2012-2013 - 28 January 2012. Contact Timothy Pogacar.
Japan qualified students may go as exchange students to Nanzan University, Saitama University, or Hiroshima Jogakuin University in Japan. Open to students of any major who have completed Japanese 1020 or equivalent.
