OVERVIEW

Each year GradSTEP offers over 100 professional development sessions focusing on teaching, research, technology, and personal and life enhancement. They are designed to provide you with information about the wide assortment of University programs and services available to graduate students.  Our sessions offer you a variety of publications that serve as resource guides, opportunities for discussion on issues relevant to graduate education and graduate student life, and opportunities for students to ask specific questions AND get answers. It is the goal of GradSTEP to provide you with information and training that will give you the necessary foundation to help meet your academic goals and prepare you for your assistantship responsibilities.

FOCUS AREAS

  • Instructional (INST)
Focused toward the new teaching assistants, faculty, and non-traditional students.
  • Personal and Professional Development (PPD)
Beneficial to all participants including part-time and non-funded students.
  • Research (RES)

  • Technology (TECH)
For hands on training on supported computer software and information about technology resources.

SCHEDULE

GradSTEP session dates, times, descriptions, and pre-registration forms will be available after June 15th.

You will be able to download the GradSTEP-Week-at-a-Glance to find out about the various topics covered this year or download the Index of GradSTEP Sessions where sessions are grouped by their areas of focus. This may be helpful when deciding if you want to focus your attendance toward one specific area. This index also gives the session and repeated session numbers to help you with scheduling.
