All course numbers carry 6 semester credit hours.
GEOL 493 - Field Experience. For Earth Science majors intending to teach in secondary schools. Prerequisites - Physical and Historical
Geology. Familiarity with personal computers is recommended.
GEOL 494 - Field Geology. For undergraduate Geology majors preparing for a professional career in the geological sciences. Prerequisites
- Structural Geology and Mineralogy. Petrology, Stratigraphy/Sedimentology are recommended, but not required. Familiarity
with personal computers is recommended.
GEOL 693 - Advanced Field Geology. For graduate students in Geology, or those students who have been awarded a BS or BA degree prior
to May 30, 2010. Includes an individual research project in addition to the regular course work. Familiarity with personal
computers is recommended.
