James E. Evans, Professor- Sedimentary geology and surficial processes, including modern and ancient depositional environments, facies analysis, sedimentary evidence for external controls (tectonics, paleoclimate, and sea level), environmental geology (coastal processes and restoration of natural flows from dam removals), and public policy.
   

John R. Farver, Associate Professor- Mineralogy, petrology/Materials science. Synthesis and characterization of natural and synthetic mineral and ceramic aggregates.
   

Joseph P. Frizado, Associate Professor- Diagenesis of sediments, computer applications in geology, geographical information systems, groundwater geochemistry.
   

Enrique Gomezdelcampo, Assistant Professor- Ecohydrology, use of information technology in environmental projects (including modeling, visualization, GIS, and remote sensing), fluvial geomorphology, ecological complexity, climate and land-use change at various scales.
   

Peter V. Gorsevski, Assistant Professor - Geospatial Sciences focusing on applications of GIScience & Remote Sensing techniques for quantitative modeling at different spatio-temporal scales.
   

Charles M. Onasch, Professor- Structural Geology and Geophysics including strain and microstructures in sandstones, role of fluids in low temperature deformation, Appalachian geology, recurrent tectonics in the craton, engineering geology and shallow geophysics.
   

Kurt S. Panter, Associate Professor- Igneous petrology and geochemistry including volcanism associated with continental rift zones and pluton-hosted ore deposits.
   

Sheila J. Roberts, Associate Professor- Aqueous and environmental geochemistry, (chemical analyses of soils, sediments, sediment pore water, and fluid samples to detect contamination) and groundwater modeling.
   

Jeffrey Snyder, Associate Professor- Quaternary and glacial geology, geomorphology, paleolimnology, diatom analysis.
   

Don C. Steinker, Professor- Paleobiology and Micropaleontology including biology, ecology, and paleoecology of foraminifera, Neogene micropaleontology, stratigraphy.
   

Paula J. Steinker, Instructor – Mammalian evolution and paleontology; interpretations of geologic phenomena through human history; deep-ocean mapping; geoscience education.
   

Robert K. Vincent, Professor- Remote sensing including applications of remote sensing in petroleum and mineral exploration (especially gold deposits), environmental monitoring (sewage sludge on farm fields and cyanobacteria in lakes).
   

Margaret M. Yacobucci, Associate Professor-Paleontology and paleobiology including evolution of fossil cephalopods, diversification events and environmental change, phylogenetic reconstruction, and morphometrics.
