 Profile:  

Dr. Harrison's dissertation titled, “Everything You Want to Know About Indian Studies, but were Afraid to Ask: Assessing Indian Studies as an Academic Discipline,” was a ground breaking project that sought to explain several concerns of Indian Studies.
Prior to attending the University of Arizona, Dr. Harrison worked for a non-profit organization where he was assigned to work with the Hopi people of Northern Arizona.  In addition, he also worked with groups from Navajo Nation: both Arizona and New Mexico.  Spintz has also worked with the Pueblo Indians from New Mexico.  He has an extensive background of working with Indian groups from all across the Southwest.

Doctorate Degree, American Indian Studies from the University of Arizona (2006)

Master’s Degree, Sociology from New Mexico Highlands University

Bachelor’s Degree, Sociology from the University of Utah.
