Marsha Olivarez

Marsha Olivarez is the newest administrative support staff in the School of Cultural and Critical Studies. She, along with the Popular Culture Department, moved into Shatzel Hall in August, 2012. Ms. Olivarez began her career with the university in August of 1984. She is active in the community, volunteers at the annual Black Arts Swamp Festival and began the annual Cinco de Mayo festival for the City of Bowling Green in 1993. Currently, Ms. Olivarez and a handful of other concerned citizens are working to establish the Latino Connection Welcoming Committee for Wood County. She is a native of Bowling Green, and has three children and two grandchildren. Ms. Olivarez is an alumnus of Bowling Green State University, receiving her Bachelor of Liberal Studies degree in December, 2011.
