Mandy Heddle is a visiting assistant professor and has a joint appointment with the Center for Science and Mathematics Education (COSMOS). She is a biologist with interests in biology education, evolution, entomology and conservation biology. Mandy is originally from Scotland, but has studied insects in remote parts of the world, especially in Hawaii and other Pacific Islands.
Mandy is currently doing research in methods for improving science education, both in the K-12 system and at the college level. In particular she is interested in the nature of common misconceptions about science in environmental science and evolutionary biology.
