Environmental Health Student Research

Undergraduate research is an important part of the Environmental Health Program. Recent research projects that students have done or been involved in include:

  • Halogenated hydrocarbons in drinking water,
  • Exposure to organic vapors in workplaces,
  • Chromium emissions from electroplating operations,
  • Pollutant transport in indoor air systems,
  • Industrial noise exposure modeling
  • Residential noise exposure near highways,
  • Pesticides in plants,
  • Hazardous waste flow through Wood County,
  • Perceptions of drinking water quality, and
  • Ambient air quality monitoring
