Writing for Teaching and Learning - Workshop Main Page
Workshop for Arts and Sciences Faculty
Spring Semester, 2003
Pallister Conference Room, Jerome Library

Overview

This workshop was developed by Rhetoric & Writing PhD Program faculty members, with the support of Dean Donald Nieman, to promote discussion within the Arts and Sciences College of an approach that, “more than any other recent educational movement, has aimed at transforming pedagogy at the college level, at moving away from the lecture mode of teaching . . . to a model of active student engagement with the material and with the genres of the discipline through writing” (WAC for the New Millennium).
