We are in the process of reviving EGSA, an organization designed to serve as a social and learning environment for all graduate students in the English department. With a mix of fun activities (movies, receptions) and instructional opportunities (conference workshops, forums for scholarship), we hope the group allows for cross-program cooperation and fellowship.

Mission Statement
     EGSA's mission is to assist in the preprofessionalization of graduate students in the English Department. We also provide a venue for new graduate students to learn about professionals in the English field while fostering community building between the specialized areas within the English Department.

     Because this is a rebuilding year for the organization, a group of six officers agreed to serve for the first 2007 Fall semester only – so that official elections may be held in November to appoint officers from within several disciplines within the department. Those serving currently:
