The Gerontology Program and Bowling Green State University houses the Northwest Ohio branch of the Western Reserve Geriatric Education Center. In addition to serving a 20-county area that includes more than 14 two and four year academic institutions, the BGSU-WRGEC collaborates with the Medical College of Ohio and Numerous agencies/facilities that serve older adults. Current initiatives focus on senior health promotion/wellness programming and preparing professional care givers for the challenges they face working within managed care systems.
