Eugene Gloria holds an MA in English from Miami University of Ohio, and an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Oregon. He has published two collections of poetry and has a third forthcoming, all on Penguin, and he has published more than a hundred poems in leading journals, including The North American Review, Indiana Review, and Asian American Literary Review. His work has also been widely anthologized in collections such as Between Water and Song: New Poets for the Twenty-First Century, Pinoy Poetics, and Asian-American Literature: An Anthology. He is currently an associate professor at DePauw University, and he has taught in the past at University of the Philippines-Diliman. His work has won the National Poetry Series Open Competition, and he has received prestigious fellowships such as fellowships at the Ragdale Foundation, The MacDowell Colony, and the Fundacion Valparaiso.
