Michael Czyzniejewski, Editor-in-Chief of Mid-American Review, teaches Creative Writing Desktop Publishing. Mike grew up in the Chicago area and received a B.A. from the University of Illinois in 1995, before earning an M.F.A. in Fiction from BGSU in 1997. He has worked as an editor for Mid-American Review for ten years, starting as an Assistant Editor, working his way to Fiction Editor, and finally taking over as Editor-in-Chief in the summer of 2000. His stories have appeared in American Literary Review, Quick Fiction, Western Humanities Review, Mississippi Review Web, New Orleans Review, Northwest Review, Another Chicago Magazine, Witness, Lake Effect, StoryQuarterly, The Cream City Review, Bat City Review, and other journals.
