From MSDNAA (recommended)

Microsoft Visual Studio provides a development environment suitable for writing programs in languages such as Visual C++, Visual Basic, and Visual C#. Visual Studio is available in all campus computer labs containing Windows systems.

You can download Visual Studio and other software for no charge if you are enrolled in a computer science class during the current semester. Complete details are available at MSDN Academic Alliance Software Center. Your username is your BGSU email address (e.g. jsmith@bgsu.edu). Your password is sent to your BGSU email address at the start of the first semester in which you enroll in a computer science class. If you forget your password, just click on the appropriate link in the Login Help box on the login page.

If you prefer, you can purchase the CD's at a nominal charge from the same website described above and they will be mailed directly to you. This option is also available only to students currently enrolled in a computer science class.

Another Option: DreamSpark

BGSU has partnered with the Microsoft DreamSpark program and is pleased to provide BGSU students with Microsoft development and design software free of charge. Available titles are similar to those available through MSDNAA, as described above. Further details about the DreamSpark program are available at the web site linked above. Questions regarding the program may be directed to the Technology Support Center (TSC) at tsc@bgsu.edu, 2-0999, 110 Hayes Hall.
