The faculty: All
computer science courses for majors and minors are
taught by regular faculty, not by graduate
students.
Undergraduate
program: Nearly all of our undergraduate majors
pursue the Bachelor of Science degree, but the
Bachelor of Arts degree is also available.
Undergraduates can complete one semester or one
year in Austria.
Graduate
program: Our Master of Science degree allows
you to get just the right amount of extra education
for today's job market.
Academic
advising: The department has a strong
commitment to quality advising for both
undergraduate and graduate students.
Small class
sizes: Computer science classes for
majors and minors are limited to 35 students.
Computer
facilities: The entire campus is on the
University's Ethernet backbone, including each
residence hall room. Departmental computer labs
complement labs available throughout the campus.
The department has an instructional lab plus
specialized labs for networking and computer-human
interface design and testing.
Student
organization: The
ACM Student
Chapter offers speakers and other activities
for students interested in computer science.
Practical experience: Most computer science
majors earn good pay, academic credit (CS 390 or CS
589), and valuable experience through the
University's co-op program. More than 60% of the CS
graduates each year have participated in the co-op
program.
Job placement: BGSU computer science graduates
find challenging and rewarding careers throughout
the United States and internationally.
