• Brief note-- a light bulb that kills odors? (TV ad) It turns out the be a fluorescent lamp where the tube is coated on the outside with TiO2. TiO2 can absorb near-UV light and become a strong oxidizing agent. It can also adsorb organics, delivering them to oxidation sites. It could work, or it could be advertising hype. At least the concept makes some sense.
