Optical Instruments are getting Smaller
This is a digital camera with a built in light source
(note the hemispherical window on the left). It also contains
a low power radiotransmitter. It is designed as a disposable
pill to be swallowed. It then takes pictures of your digestive track
and sends the photos to a digital recorder / radio that you wear
for a day or two.
The pictures are then downloaded and reviewed, giving your gastro-entologist
a gallery of photos from your gullet to gazoo. It also takes the phrase
"disposable camera" to the ultimate. (Flush!)
