BGSU has an active chapter of the Student Affliates
of the American Chemical Society.
- We encourage all undergradaute chemistry students to participate.
- Obviously, this is an important alliance for Chemistry Majors
- You can belong to the BGSU chapter by simply showing up for
meetings.
They have their own web page
BGSU Chapter
- this includes up to date postings of events
- check it out often
The national ACS organization has a page describing the
Student Affliates program
You can formally register with the American Chemical Society as a Student Affliate
- one drawback-- a membership fee
- Cost is either $18.00 per hear (with 18 issues of C&EN)
- or $15 + discounted rate on an ACS Journal
- details: application details
- one advantage-- a publication called
in Chemistry
- seniors who are entering the job market have access to the
ACS Employment service.
- this includes current lists of jobs available
- this is available only to registered memebers of ACS,
including registered affiliates
