The Program

Through an agreement between Bowling Green State University and the Medical College of Ohio at Toledo, ten students entering their junior year will have special admission into the School of Medicine at MCO following completion of their graduate work at BGSU.

The program is designed to encourage qualified students to enter medical school. If students in the program choose to attend MCO, they will not be required to take the national Medical College Admission Test. In addition, during their senior year, they may enroll for courses at MCO.

Full-time students enrolled at Bowling Green State University are eligible for the program after completion of at least sixty semester hours, thirty of which must be in residence.

The national Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) will be waived for those students admitted to the program. Students accepted into this program do so with the expectation that they will attend the Medical College of Ohio.

Traditional pre-med programs are offered through both the Biology and Chemistry Departments. Consult the University Catalog and contact those offices for information on advising.

Files on students recommended for the program will be forwarded to the Medical College of Ohio for consideration. Final acceptance rests with the Medical College of Ohio.
