The following scholarships are being offered specifically for students in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at BGSU. Below you will find links to application materials for each scholarship. Please note that the Spring 2013 application deadline is 5 P.M., Friday, February 22, 2013.
Undergraduate Student Scholarships
Elizabeth Neidecker Communication Disorders Undergraduate Scholarship
- The Elizabeth Neidecker Communication Disorders Undergraduate Scholarship was established by Professor Emeritus Neidecker to support students in Communication Sciences and Disorders who are planning to practice in the school setting. Dr. Neidecker was a BGSU faculty member from 1962 until she retired in 1982. She also taught methods courses and supervised student teachers. Preference will be given to students who plan to work in the school setting.

Graduate Student Scholarships
The Lima Noon Sertoma Speech-Language Pathology Scholarship
- The Lima Noon Sertoma Club was established in 1937, under its original name of the Cooperative Club. The national organization changed its name officially to Sertoma in 1950, reflecting its core mission of Service To Mankind. The Lima Noon Sertoma Speech-Language Pathology Scholarship was established in 2010 by the Lima Noon Sertoma Club as part of their mission as a speech and hearing service organization, in order to provide support to graduate students in speech-language pathology. The club established this scholarship to support students who wish to pursue careers as speech-language pathologists. The recipient shall be a 2nd year Graduate Student and a resident of Northwest or West Central Ohio.

Elizabeth Neidecker Communication Disorders Graduate Scholarship

Harold J. (Hal) McGrady Speech/Language Pathology Scholarship
- Established in 2006 by Dr. Harold J. McGrady. Recipients must be a rising 2nd-year master's student in Communication Sciences and Disorders who is in the school-based track and who has expressed an interest in working in the school setting after graduation. Preference is given to students who show financial need and who have demonstrated leadership and involvement in student life activities.
