Research Interests

My primary interest is stuttering research and treatment of individuals who stutter. I am especially interested in the psychosocial aspects of stuttering, handicapping aspects of the disorder, and treatment outcomes research related to BGSU’s Intensive Stuttering Clinic for Adolescents and Adults.

I also have strong interests in research related to quality of life and psychosocial aspects of communication disorders and disabilities in general.

I am also interested in studying the competencies, perceptions and interests of SLPs related to stuttering and other communication disorders.

I am developing training programs for students and professionals in the area of stuttering.
