- Monitoring changes in the benthic algal communities following zebra mussel (Dreissena polymorpha) colonization in Saginaw Bay, Lake Huron with multi-variate statistics.
- Describing a new Pinnularia species from acidic lakes of northern Michigan.
- The use of sun flecks by periphyton of shaded streams.
- The Paleolimnological evaluation of a series of Sumatra lakes.
- Climatic effects of Glacial Lake Agassiz in the midwestern United States during the last deglaciation.
