Psammothidium oblongella

This taxon is a frequent member of mixed periphyton communities in many of the park's streams.



We have records from Bower Creek, a tributary of Forge Creek in Abrams Creek watershed, Blount Co., TN, Beech Flats Prong, the westernmost tributary of the Oconaluftee River, Swain Co., Camel Hump Creek, a tributary of Cosby Creek, Cocke Co., TN, Fighting Creek, tributary of the West Prong of the Little Pigeon River, Sevier Co., TN, Husky Branch, tributary of the Little River above Elkmont, Sevier Co., TN and TW (Twin Creeks?)
