Eunotia musicola var. tridentula- Nörpel & Lange-Bertalot

This diatom occurs in streams throughout the park, although never in high abundance.



To date, we have records from Forney Creek, Huggins Creek, Noland Creek, Jakes Creek, Indian Creek, a spring at Russel Field Shelter, Ramsay Prong, Middle Prong of the Little River, Big Creek, Lynn Camp Prong, Cosby Creek, Beech Flats Prong and an un-named stream along the Appalachian Trail, Lower Mount Cammerer Trail, and Chimney Tops Trail.
