The ACS Program is pleased to offer to our doctoral students the services of a Recommendation Letter File to help you in your job search as you near completion of your doctoral program. You should first discuss with your dissertation director and the other faculty you would like to ask to serve as references whether they are willing to place their letters of recommendation for you in this file. Their letters will be held in a file in the American Culture Studies office and sent out upon your request.

Procedures for ACS Recommendation Letter File

To utilize your placement file, you must submit an email request to acsprogram@bgsu.edu OR fill out the ACS Recommendation Letter Request Form. We will send you a confirmation email to reply to which will then complete your request. Your letters will be mailed or emailed from our office within three business days of your request, so please plan accordingly. For detailed instructions, please click on the procedures link above.
