Biography:

Vikki Krane is the Director of the Women’s Studies Program and a professor in the School of Human Movement, Sport, and Leisure Studies. Dr. Krane is trained as a sport psychologist and focuses on feminist issues in sport. She teaches graduate courses in the areas of sport psychology, women in sport, and women’s studies. Dr. Krane’s research integrates feminist cultural studies and social identity perspective to examine heterosexism in sport. Specifically she focuses on body image and the experiences of lesbians in sport. Currently, she is the editor of the Women in Sport and Physical Activity Journal and the president of the Association for the Advancement of Applied Sport Psychology.
