Biography:
Dr.
Alberto González has taught a variety of undergraduate
and graduate courses, including Intercultural Communication
and Humanistic Research Methods.
He
has published five books and numerous research articles
in the areas of intercultural communication, Latino/a
communication studies and popular music as communication.
One book, Our Voices: Essays in Ethnicity, Culture and
Communication, has been adopted for use at over 200 colleges
and universities in the U.S.
In
2006, Dr. Gonzalez served as program planner for the International
and Intercultural Communication Division of the National
Communication Association. In 2007, he became Chair of
the Division.
