Research Interests:

My main area of research interest is intercultural communication. Specifically I research how immigrant/ethnic groups respond to pressures to assimilate to dominant cultural norms. My research in this area has predominantly been spent studying Muslims in France nd Western Europe. I am also interested in, and researching the conflict style patterns and behaviors of Muslims in Europe and the United States. Another research thread if the development and maintenance of identity among the Muslim populations in Europe and the United States. My final, and most recently emerging area of research is the effect(s) of religiosity on intercultural communication.
