Past Conferences:2006 marked the official rebirth (after a decade lull) of the conference completely conceived and constructed by the graduate students of the American Culture Studies Program at Bowling Green State University. The American Culture Studies Graduate Conference was formerly known as the National Graduate Conference in Culture Studies and was heald in 1995 and 1996. In the wake of the 2006 conference, the graduate students of American Culture Studies teamed with the graduate students of the Department of Popular Culture to form Culture Club: The Cultural Studies Scholars' Association. The conference, now officially known as the Battleground States Graduate Student Conference, is now entirely organized by the graduate students of Culture Club, a cross-campus, interdisciplinary organization.
