ABOUT CULTURE CLUB

Culture Club: The Cultural Studies Scholars’ Association is an interdisciplinary organization founded in 2006 in order to bring together graduate students from the American Culture Studies Program, the Departments of Popular Culture, Theatre and Film, Psychology, History, and other disciplines with an interest in Cultural Studies. Working collaboratively, we have dedicated ourselves to developing the national graduate student conference, “Battleground States,” held every March on the campus of Bowling Green State University.

Our conference brings together and facilitates dialogue among students and scholars from Bowling Green State University, the Great Lakes region, across the Nation, and from around the world who are interested in the engagement of cultural studies.

Culture Club: The Cultural Studies Scholars’ Association meets every other Friday at Noon in the American Culture Studies conference room, 103 East Hall.

2006-2007 Culture Club Officers:

Matt Barbee - President
Adam Franklin - Vice President
Gavin Mueller - Treasurer
James Paasche - Secretary
Andrew Famigletti - GSS Representative
Colin Helb - Web/Promotion
