The Oil Exhibit is the newest addition to the Wood County Historical Center. Constructed over the summer of 1996, the 24' x 40' building is made of rough hewn lumber. It contains a gas engine, ca. 1880s, from the Ame Sucker Rod co. of Toledo; gear works made in Findaly by the A-B Co.; and shackle rods, which connect through the bulding to the pump jacks outside. This working well pumps colored water, which is channeled into the two storage tanks located in front of the structure.
