THE NEW COURT HOUSE

Its foundation is low,

And that should be so;

'Tis founded and built on the rock,

Where foundations should stand,

And not on the sand,

Where storms may cast down with a shock

This house stands for Truth,

A warning to youth:

E'en children no falshood should tell

Its walls are of stone

And nothing can burn

From corner stone up to the bell

Mrs A.B. Cooper, aged 89, 1896
