Abstract: Lorain County Community College will redesign the General, Organic, and Biochemistry (CHMY 161) sections to include significantly more technologically and pedagogically robust instructions that include gaming and simulation exercises.  The redesign will focus on the current online laboratory component, to expand online instruction to all sections, and transform the lecture sections to fully on-line or blended/hybrid delivery.  The goal is to transform the entire Chemistry 161 course, through the establishment of a Chemistry Learning Community.
