Abstract: The Defiance College Arts and Humanities Electronic Portfolio Implementation (EPI) Learning Community will facilitate professional development of faculty who teach in the newly revised Arts and Humanities Major of Defiance College. Learning within the community will result in a comprehensive understanding of the use of an electronic portfolio system for assessing student learning in the major. Members of the community will develop appropriate criteria for choosing a system, learn to use the system, learn appropriate student-centered pedagogy for implementing the system, and learn to use data gathered from eportfolios in the ongoing assessment of the Arts and Humanities Major.
