Abstract: The proposed project will establish a Learning Community (LC) to explore the use and remote network applications of audience (student) response systems (the technology).  Faculty in the Learning Community will use the technology in at least one course section to determine: (1) the effectiveness of the technology, (2) whether the increased interaction and engagement actually does make an impact on student performance and retention, (3) if live audience responses can support the assessment of student learning, and, (4) if the technology can be used simultaneously in multiple remote applications, which will enhance the College's Distributive Learning and Outreach strategies.
