Your Teaching Persona
What is your teaching persona?
James Lang, in his article, “Crafting a Teaching Persona,” stated
“Looking back at the start of my own teaching career, I see now that I made lots of choices that were designed to shape my teaching persona, but I did so in haphazard ways. A more deliberate effort to think about who I wanted to be in the classroom might have saved me a lot of anxiety in those first few years of teaching.” http://chronicle.com/article/Crafting -a-Teaching-Persona/46671
Join this discussion about what a teaching persona is and how to develop one. It would be very helpful (but not necessary) for the discussion if participants would review both the James Lang article above and a second Chronicle article, “Cultivating a Teaching Persona,” by Jay Parini, http://chronicle.com/article/Cultivating-a-Teaching-Persona/99957/
