The first day of class is a great way to get a class heading in the right direction. This session is designed to discuss practical tips to consider prior to teaching the first day of class to make each first session a success. Topics of discussion will be how to address the group for the first time, how to set strong classroom norms from the first meeting, and creating relationships that promote student learning. If getting off to a strong start is something you are hoping to do, this workshop is a must.
