Promoting Active Learning with Digital Resources

This workshop will explore methods for engaging students in active learning endeavors through the use of digital resources such as dynamic visualization tools and encapsulated presentations. During a one-hour session we will dialog about ways to shift medium-sized courses to a learner-centric model  while reviewing Web 2.0 tools including collaborative mind-mapping, word clouds, back chatting, class polling, alternatives to Powerpoint, and others.
