Increase Student Engagement Using the Inverted Classroom

Educators across the country⎯from Sal Khan of the Khan Academy to Eric Mazur of Harvard⎯are experimenting with the idea of the inverted of “flipped” classroom, in which what would normally be covered in classroom lectures is covered outside of class, and in which classroom time is used to actively engage students in discussion and problem solving. Come to this workshop to learn what it means to “flip” either an entire course or individual assignments. We’ll also introduce you to some terrific new technology that can make the process of recording and showing lectures quick and easy.
