2012 BGSU Teaching and Learning Fair

Friday, February 10, 2012  |  BTSU Lenhart Grand Ballroom  |  9:00 am

On Friday, February 10, 2012, the BGSU community gathers to celebrate student achievement of the University Learning Outcomes through best teaching and learning practices. Faculty, staff, and graduate students demonstrate their teaching and learning strategies and activities, and undergraduate students share their meaningful research and creative activities in all fields of study.

Come to the Fair!
Fairgoers will interact with BGSU community members who are demonstrating commitment to student learning and development; for example:

• learner-centered course planning and activities
• learner activities that occur outside of the classroom and engage others in action while participating and leading
• application of pedagogies and teaching strategies: active learning, problem-based learning, inquiry-based learning
• approaches to the assessment of student learning
• course design and experiences that afford learners opportunities to participate in an organized service activity

New this year─an Undergraduate Student Research Showcase
Fairgoers will interact with undergraduate students as they present their research projects.

Dr. Todd Zakrajsek will deliver two keynote addresses. The first keynote, "How Students Learn: Strategies for Engaged Learning", aims at BGSU educators; the second keynote, "Enhance You Academic Potential: How Research Can Help You To Be a Successful and Engaged Learner", targets undergraduate students:
