BGSU spotlights outstanding faculty at annual awards

Eighteen faculty members from across the University were honored at the April 13 Faculty Excellence Awards hosted by the Office of the Provost and Faculty Senate. Awards were presented by President Mary Ellen Mazey, Provost Rodney Rogers; Dr. Michael Ogawa, vice president for research and economic engagement; Faculty Senate Chair Rachelle Kristof Hippler, and Joyce Blinn, wife of the late Dr. Elliott Blinn, for an award named in his honor.

This is a continuation of coverage of the awards.

Two faculty members were recognized once again for having received honorary titles earlier this year from the BGSU Board of Trustees. The Office of Sponsored Programs and Research presented the Olscamp Research Award and the Outstanding Early Career Award. Two winners for each award were selected this year.

OBITUARIES
Willard Misfeldt, 87, a professor emeritus of art, died April 18. He joined the art history department in 1967 and retired in 1998, but returned to teach until 2001.
