Caryl Crane Youth Theatre presents ‘Madagascar: A Musical Adventure’

Caryl Crane Youth Theatre is limbering up to “Move it, Move it” for its production of “Madagascar: A Musical Adventure” April 6-9. The zany stage version based on the DreamWorks animated motion picture follows four best friends on an epic adventure in search of a place to call home. Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, Gloria the Hippo and the always-plotting penguins embark on a madcap journey from New York’s Central Park Zoo to the beaches of Madagascar.

“Madagascar: A Musical Adventure” is directed by CCYT Artistic Director Brian Marshall and features 61 students, ages 6-12. Performances are at 7 p.m. April 6; 7:30 p.m. April 7; and at 2 p.m. April 8 and 9 in the McBride Auditorium on the BGSU Firelands Huron campus. Tickets are $6 for BGSU students, $8 for children, $10 for BGSU faculty and senior citizens, and $12 for other adults. Purchase now by calling 419-626-1950, or ordering online.
