Accounting and Management Information Systems

The Department of Accounting and Management Information Systems (AMIS) at Bowling Green State University focuses on new information technology and the increasingly global business environment.

The department's goal is to develop accounting and information system leaders for the 21st century who will not only acquire the skills and knowledge necessary for their next job but also the tools for building a life-long successful career.

Undergraduate students majoring in business can choose from several specializations through this department:

  •  accounting
  •  information systems auditing and control (ISAC)
  •  management information systems (MIS)

At the graduate level, we offer a Master of Accountancy with three specialization tracks –

  •  accounting & auditing
  •  ISAC
  •  taxation

The Princeton Review ranks our program Top 2 in Ohio for admissions selectivity and academic experience.

The MIS specialization at BGSU ranks among the best in the country. According to BusinessWeek, it ranks #24 among all public universities and ranks #50 among all universities.

We are proud to have a Master Teacher and a former Fulbright Scholar who shared his accounting model curriculum with educators in Romania.
